It really depends on who you follow. If you follow some of the art ones or other interests, you'll see less of the anxiety. Another thing is to check in on the quiet posters. You tend to get more friends in that area.

Problem 2: the difficulty in finding your friends on this network. My senior mother already gave up. She doesn't want to be involved with those other platforms, but this doesn't provide the same friends experience.

@mcuban.bsky.social The thing that is missing is the original reason for social networks. People want to connect with their friends, family, and "community" in a meaningful way too. There needs to be a better way to have "groups" on a network like Blue Sky where there is some element of "privacy".

Definitely. You are one of my earliest follows on here. I say you laugh or you cry. I prefer laughter. I'm hoping BlueSky picks up some of the instagramish reels features.
