My first job (cashier at Sobeys in the 80s) had me log into the cash register using part of my SIN. It's ingrained in my memory!

Divorced for four years, haven’t had anything under the tree in 19.

Oh, my Springer does that too! Like she doesn't notice the food until her leash is on.

I can't say it helped much in the end, lol. I don't have dyscalcula but I do have lots of anxiety around money, and it's like my brain freezes whenever I have to deal with taxes. But I appreciate they tried to help!

When I was first self-employed, CRA invited me to a face to face mtg. I was so scared I'd done something wrong, but they wanted to talk me through how taxes for self-employed people work and how they can help. I could have done without the anxiety, but I really appreciated the help!

I got braces a few years ago (in my 40s) and took advantage of those benefits, too. I'm really glad I got them. It wasn't as much about my teeth as the alignment and my jaw. It's helped so much.

This CEO has enough 'balance' (money/time) to be happy. This is infuriating, how we've arrived at this place where capitalism dictates when and how we are allowed to be happy. As if employers own us, body and soul.

Good lord. @julieslalonde.bsky.social , not that you need more examples, but here's an ick one from Halifax.

That does not seem…festive.

Country Gen X girl. Jumping off a hayloft repeatedly in a falling down barn into a negligible pile of hay. Somehow avoided broken bones, tetanus, and falling through rotten floors.

Happy birthday! I have a kid named Elliott, and I think I might have subconsciously named him after the ET Elliott.
