Really am glad the judge explicitly spells out that following ICE in your car does *not* in fact constitute forcibly impeding an officer.

Sorry for the hate, it’s like everyone forgets there are real people behind all these changes…

One question, it looks like this isn’t a new facet type (still `app.bsky.richtext.facet#tag`), it is just that hashtags that begin with $ are somewhat special?

“‘Better is good.’ I’ll take better every time, because better is hard. Better may not be as good as the best, but better is surprisingly hard to obtain. And better is actually harder than worse.”

Fun fact, if you keep your card on green, they are legally obligated to keep shaving meat onto your plate until it collapses in on itself and swallows up the earth.

I’ve seen enough, this post is evidence that Bluesky is spying on me through my phone.

A whole article and never once mention the title they are charging people under?

18 USC § 111, with the key part of this being “forcibly” impeding. Following a car or blowing a whistle is not using force! WaPo step up your legal coverage.

Yes, the community (myself included) has found the perf impact of barrel files (especially in test runners) to not be worth the DX gain. Also `export * from …` is equally out because you can leak “internal exports,” better to explicitly define the API surface.

That was off the top of my head, but yeah that’s the squishiest bit. “Let me edit the hints if I come up with better ones too” is easy to add later.

In general I’m thinking in terms of “what is a software equivalent of this analog study method? AI, make that software.”

“Create a website for reviewing flash cards using the attached doc. Also generate hints that can be revealed for each card before showing the answer, and keep track of my score.”

I can see claude one-shotting this, and using it would be more beneficial than the underlying software.

Seeing this made me think about how much time I’ve spent scrolling that version page, then realizing “oh my god it could have been so much better.” Well done with your fixes!

Wild how a product can suffer when there are layers of bureaucracy in the way.

Why don’t you link to the source? Moderately decreased because rolls are cheaper, great.

“Several items helped pull down the overall cost. Dinner rolls are down 14.6%, stuffing is down 9%. … A veggie tray is up more than 61% and sweet potatoes are up 37%.”
Thanksgiving Dinner Cost Analysis: Moderate Decline
Thanksgiving dinner costs fall 5% to $55.18, but farmers face high input costs and weather challenges. See what’s driving price changes in the 2025 AFBF survey.

As a software engineer with a math degree, this is terrible advice. I’ll take a curious, empathetic artist that can communicate effectively over 10 egotistical Vulcan code ninjas that can’t string two sentences together.

Or put another way, he was elected due to his constituency having a sense of humor and/or watched The Office, and decided comedy is now legal again.

Seriously, describing the below exchange as “violent” grossly overstates them.

“Nobody wants this” are you sure about that? I for one would appreciate reading replies that aren’t wildly off topic or are solely made in bad faith. I’m ok with testing this out. It only affects the AppView too. The replies are still there.

The little text ʘTARGET (or is it ◎, ⨀, or ⦿) at the end is cool. Those Unicode symbols were created long after this - 1986 vs 1993 - so you know someone had to write custom software to be able to print that little guy.
