I don't know if this hurts or helps your argument, but "professors" like Summers (or any prominent academic) only lecture maybe once a week. The bulk of interactions with students is all done by TAs.

I love that his whole schtick is that he's merely dispassionately recommending that progressives do what polls tell them to do. Except when the polling suggests something he personally disagrees with, in which case progressives shouldn't follow polling. For reasons.

I know my formula is simplistic, but I feel fairly confident positing that it would be cheaper to literally give homeless people cash for rent, and we'd still have money left over to build more housing.

The cost to incarcerate someone varies widely by state, but looks like the lowest is in AR at $23K annually, or ~$1900/mo. Average rent in AR is $1400/mo. You see where I'm going with this.
