How might designers better communicate the value of design and get a seat on the c-suite? Instead of saying "this will improve UX", say, "this will improve customer conversion". Instead of "user needs", say "customer retention". The lang of business is customers, sales, retention, and numbers.

In swift I'd love to know how to make a custom 2D game map where you scroll, zoom around, click on icons with region areas. I don't know if you can do it with CGPaths, or if I use sprites. AI gave me some ideas, but knowing how to do it is quite different

In #swift, there's conversations about whether to use MV, MVVM, VIPER, RIB or some other pattern. I use MVVM and experimenting with MV. The issue isn't MV vs X, its whether you can convince senior devs to change legacy code. What do you do when you, as a junior, have no power?

Relearning swift and finding that marking things with async, await, task, mainactor, or use actors. I can see why they might be better, but I don't understand why if raise issues were such a big issue why they weren't baked in before.

I'm working on 2 card game ideas at the moment, one borrows a few mechanics from the polish game Queue, and the other is a tableau building game where you bid for cards, then run your tableau.

Questions to ask to go from idea stuck → product shipped. What's the problem you are solving? What's the idea? Who is the customer? How will you reach them? What do you need to get started? Whats the next step? How will you know you're on track?

If you're doing a Master degree this year, ask them - do I make a portfolio. If they don't, ask why not - then demand that you leave with a portfolio. If they refuse, make one anyway.

Starting to dedicate 30 mins of your day about my dreams, goals and ideas. Doodle, sketch, rough notes. Put pencil to paper. Photograph it. Then move them to Miro; to expand on them, create a vision board. Then ask, which of these can I do now or later. What are the resources, small wins?

A traffic light system designed to measure happiness only matters when it reports red; all other colours aren't important. Happiness isn't a metric, it's contextual and it creates its own paradox, people game it, lie about it, mgrs crow about it, and ultimately loses all value.

Originality / Uniqueness is the wrong target. You may spend more time worrying whether your idea is unique / original than you ever will trying to test your idea, product, game and getting feedback. Customers don't care about uniqueness / originality. They care if it solves their problem.

#2 - A way to contact someone at the company to get feedback, and no-reply email addresses aren't good enough

Remove the words "should" or "could" from your report. If it doesn't have "will" or "must", then I will probably ignore it.
