The locker room stuff was bad enough in middle school that the PE coach (bless that kind man's heart) faked my attendance with the librarian and let me work the library instead. The older I get the more I appreciate those two.

This applies to so many things too, like "I could never do that" when referencing someone art or skill they spent a lot of work honing.

I keep hearing things like this too. Like, "Yeah you look a lot more like yourself now" and "Wow your smile is real now". It feels so good.
