So you'd rather have a months' long enquiry into stuff that happened 10 years ago, which would have no power to do anything about whatever it might find, than a short enquiry into what can be done to prevent it happening in future.

If a crime has been committed it's investigated by the police, not a government enquiry. The whole point of the enquiry is to protect democracy! 🙄
