Been having a rough Ruffy week. It was starting to get easier. I've backslid. I ache for him. I got to get kisses from a friend's dog today. Felt so good. I'm volunteering at a Spay/Neuter clinic this weekend about 2 hours from home. Get to play with dogs all weekend! Yeah! #gratitude #dogs #grief

I needed to get walking again after losing our dog on the 5th. I decided to walk to the bridge at the top of our road, I couldn't walk Ruffy this way as he was boundary trained. It was a beautiful walk. Views looking up and down Mineral Creek from the bridge and from the top of our road. #gratitude

The best closure ever with Ruffy. I gave him a sedative before at home so we got to love him up like never before. Joked we should have sedated him once a week to love him up that good. Finally acknowledging/loving myself I can grieve and cry like never before. Healthy and Healing. #gratitude #love

Today is the day we lose Ruffy. I'm so very grateful for the 14 years we have enjoyed together. I'm grateful that he was meant for us so we could give him 7 years of sight if not life that he wouldn't have had with somebody else. He was meant to be ours and we are blessed from it.
