I’d like you to ask her thoughts on Garland’s handling of January 6th. Why wasn’t a special council appointed immediately? Trump tried to overturn the election with fake electors. The pressure on Pence. Pressure on Georgia officials. This was out in the open.

When trump outrageously pardoned all the Jan 6th rioters including the ones that assaulted police and there was no political consequences - it proved that his minions can act with impunity and have no fear of consequences.

they are laying the groundwork for a bunch of possibilities to stay in power through some authoritarian means.
1) use ice & the military to shut down polling stations in Dem cities because they are “rigged”
2) dismantle Dem orgs and prosecute political opponents for “terrorism”
3) start a war

The people who think we live under full fascism are more likely to be the ones in the streets protesting. Quibbling with people about authoritarian actions & whether that meets the textbook definition of full fledged fascism is what makes people complacent & ok with what is happening.

we have an executive that is doing authoritarian things, threatening fascist actions & hollowing out parts of the government including the military & the justice department replacing them with loyalists. But yeah ..when we are completely fascist I probably can’t speak freely. Let’s not get there?

We should not be forcing people back into the office just to artificially boost downtown economy. if anything, we should encourage more remote work. I think it makes people more productive and happier. Also it significantly reduces people’s carbon footprint. Win-win.
