I moved to @msaagency and told them in our first meeting my dream was to work for @nopenother - and they made it happen! I took classes from Mandy in the DOME of the original @millenniumdancelv in NoHo. Her classes shaped me as a dancer and a teacher. Her career took off and I felt she was unreachable and that maybe working for her wasn't in the cards for me. But God had a different plan, and I'm so incredibly grateful. Mandy is a genius at what she does- we all know that. But if you haven't worked for her you don't know how she gets things done. First, her and her assistant @amandabalen come ready (I also knew Mandy from my early Millennium days and I remember drooling watching her dance- always looked up to her). They know exactly what and how they are going to teach. They have a clear plan. Amanda has an eye for detail and communicates notes with respect and clarity. And Mandy changes things and adapts her choreography with grace and brilliance. All dancers respect both women and want to do their best for them. A lot of choreographers that get beautiful work done aren't always kind. But Mandy isn't one of those. She's not nasty, not disrepectful,... actually quite the contrary. She uses humor, and it relaxes the mood so everyone can perform their best without anxiety. The second part of Ferly’s caption, which reads as follows: Then I met @taylorswift - and when everyone says how kind she is- they are not lying!!! She is warm, she is inviting, and she took the time to look at everyone in the eye - even take pictures with each and every performer. If you think that's a small deal, you haven't worked in the industry at all. She knows what she wants and thanked us and motivated us every time she wanted to do another take to get the result as close to perfect magic as possible. It was an incredible experience. #swifties - I understand you! @msaagency - thank you for making my dream come true. #TheLifeofaShowgirl #TheFateofOphelia
