It kinda irks me how much retro tech resurgence is talked about like "phone bad book good" w/books swapped for DVDs and CDs. Sometimes older tech is just fun.

Yeahhh like some of my tech / media consumption choices are influenced by not liking modern tech trends but at the end of the day it's personal pefrence. It's just convenient that mp3 players & CDs let me avoid the worst of streaming

I think it's because some contexts, "He is a gay" could come off as talking about someone as if they're a lower person.

It's hard to describe, but I think it's because it about a feature people can't change, compared to something like "he is a chef", since someone can change their job

The main problem is also the name. "MP3 wrapped" is too specific to one type of file, "downloaded music" feels like it's leaving out CDs & physical media. Am I being too pedantic about an idea I don't know if I'll do? lol

The last time I checked my most listened to song was a .mod file that I don't know the artist of, nor where I found it other than it's called 'pufferfish tarmacore'
