“Until the movement is marked by the joyous, defiant, singing of revolutionary songs, it lacks one of the most distinctive marks of a popular revolutionary movement.” - James Connolly, 1907. (2/3)

If only there was some legendary Chicago institution near the Addison stop that could pay a little extra taxes to make sure the sidewalks get cleared. Can’t think of anywhere a block away from the stop that benefits from tourists having great access to public transit, though. El Burrito Mexicano?

True! Beers today, back to work tomorrow. "The war is never over," as Lydia Lunch says. Celebrate and keep the momentum going.

Very developing situation here. FPS agents ran into the hotel. Tear gas deployed. Hotel patrons forced to put their hands up. One agent’s nose bloodied.

Absolutely! All his albums are untouchable. Would add Alice Coltrane, in my opinion, is essentially God and her music is the closest I’ve come to enlightenment. Truly a brilliant human being and cosmic spiritual force. “Andromeda’s Suffering” is what I want Heaven to sound like and I’m an atheist.

"Liber Null and Psychonaut" and "Liber Chaos" by Peter Carroll are kind of interesting. It's like reading Aleister Crowley or Anton Lavey. Seems edgy when you're 17 but mostly it doesn't make any sense. Dale Beran's "It Came from Something Awful" is great on how chaos was used in 2016 elections.
