Hope it’s are ok with you.

Thinking a lot about how there are less amplifiers now - 10yrs ago all the weather presenters / news presenters would be sharing latest flood info, there would be #floodaware content would be picked up by online-media. That would then generate broadcast media requests.

Feel that it shows how much has changed with social media in past decade.

Twitter was where messages could be amplified in times of emergencies, and those then were sucked into the live local news sites.

The agencies posting less now than back then - or I’m appearing less in y feed

Daily Post has a bit, but not as much as there was few years ago.

They’d take / embed a lot of the content from Twitter few years ago.

Tonight I’m sharing screenshots and doing screen recording of Facebook content to share with people not on Facebook - because updates on road situations

Noticed this in a few recent events now. Seem to be very few journalists working in Wales out of normal hours. The Argus is doing a bit of better job than most though

Glad you got through it ok. We left Bethesda for a weekend down I Hafan y Môr 😂 - it was just before 5, and have a 4x4, it was wild… people have no idea about when to use hazards 🤷🏻‍♀️ ⚠️

Shocked by the lack of coverage really (outside of local Facebook groups and Insta stories). It’s about 5 stories down on bbc Wales, despite 2 severes and road closures.

Ye, don’t know if any instance of a Wales specific emergency making use of emergency alerts.

I believe it’s happened in England

Yeah I've not seen much flood stuff on here either. Currently there are about 25 flood warnings and 36 flood alerts when I put Glos into check for flooding so would expect more

It’s crazy here. Lots of roads closed up here in the north and severe warnings in the south east

Ow, hope it calms down soon
