I was in Calais in late October and it all seemed perfectly nice and clean. In fact the centre was surprisingly buzzing on a Sunday night. We walked along a deserted beach. It’s a nice town.

I thought there had to be a unanimous positive vote by EU countries and some of them needed a referendum first? It’s not just up to the Commission to give an administrative nod, anyway.

Eat fresh food, not too much, mainly plants. No alcohol or industrial drinks. Good luck.

Quick, buy shares in Avis, sell airlines.

We’d certainly need rationing of food and fuel in the U.K.

Chicago has about 20 times the homicide rate as London. New Orleans has a rate of about 33 times London and 81 pc in NO are from guns. Feels violent to me. England averages less than 28 gun deaths a year.

My friend booked a ten day cruise without realising it went into US territorial waters. Cost of insurance for her plus husband: £3000 Sterling. Too late to change cruise.

Cancer is normal. Death in childbirth is normal. That doesn’t mean we wouldn’t prefer to avoid them.

He seems to think that doctors owe a moral duty to the NHS not to inconvenience it. I could understand that if they didn’t have to pay for their own training.

Serious question. Even if you can get into the US, how much will travel insurance cost to cover the risk of being randomly arrested and sent to a concentration camp
In ? Ecuador?

I imagine the Farage kids are bilingual as their mother is German
December 12, 2025 at 8:15 AM
Apart from anything else, the cost of extending your insurance cover to the US is incredible.

None of them will be able to provide the required info, so they won’t be there
