Transitioned 17 years ago now & like all I only regret not doing it sooner. 57 but still under guarantee. Asexual & Lesbian.
Lots of hobbies but don't spend not enough time on any of them. Miss not having a garden.
Atheist & Tea drinker
When you broke the Constitution and separation of State & Religion by changing 'Out of many, one.' to 'In God we trust' the evangelical right was inevitable. Trump is just one symptom of the slow walking away from the Constitution.

Yep there's dehumanising people, then there's... 🤷‍♀️... turning them into a pillar of salt.

This is something the evangelical right wing in America worked out about 70 years ago, you don't have to take control of everything, just those positions that enable change. Doing it that way over time also stops pushback that might otherwise stop it.
We now see this template all around the world.

One of the things I said when they first said us trans people had an above normal level of autism & ADHD is that it's simply we are focused on more than the rest of society. The more they look the more they find and that's a good thing... well as long as help follows.

Yep, things done purely out of hate are always avoidable but it never actually effects those pushing the hate so they don't see or care about the damage they cause to others. 😞

I've worked in retail all my life here in the UK and one of my jobs was making sure the product matched the label so they didn't in theory get fined for it. Normally they'll reduce the quantity inside for a bit before altering the package size, so many changes probably go unnoticed.

I will add that I still have hope he & Reform will be defeated by the time elections happen.

The problem is the Boris Johnson effect. Just as with Trump in America there are far to many here in the UK willing to blinker themselves from everything bad their idol does. Farage has mastered this, plus his backers in the media & elsewhere have now invested too much for him to lose.

Yep, once you decide it's ok for politicians to decide who gets treated on the NHS not the Medical Professionals, then everything that has happened in America is a possibility here.

Always a money laundering scheme, the whole lot of them need their passports grabbed before they flee to Saudi Arabia.

The Russians spent a lot of money buying their way into British society and are upset with what they've got in return.
What they failed to understand is they created a right wing country & now the right are doing what they will always do and that's not just stab you in the back but in the face.

As a trans woman my best bit of advice for anyone newly transitioning is to get used to the simmering anger you will have once you lose those male privileges you never wanted to admit you had.

People like him & his followers think science is just saying you looked into something, not caring or wanting to have their minds changed, which is why they will never understand real science.
Decades or centuries of science mean nothing to them if it isn't they who did the research.🙄

This is where all those who said us trans people should debate & even concede ground has led us. There is no both sides or middle ground with people who will see any inclusion or even support of trans people as something that must be attacked.

They could save the environment and save/make many billions just by removing the existing tax breaks the fossil fuel industry has enjoyed since I think about the 1970s.🙄

They don't even need to levy a tax on fossil fuels, they could just remove all the financial support they already get from tax breaks etc. 🙄
