The Centre advances interdisciplinary research in global queer cultures and politics, paying special attention to local histories and intercultural, polycentric, multilingual exchanges, in both contemporary and historical settings.

The programme includes a keynote: 'Queer Anti-Nationalism in Right-Wing Times', by Dr. Alyosxa Tudor, and introductions to the aims of the Centre from the Directors.

During the day workshop, Dr Hájková will be joined by both Dr Will Jones, who translated the book from German to English, and Professor Helen Finch. Dr Hájková's book will be used as a springboard for discussion on Queer Studies in the context of Holocaust Studies.

(It's been brilliant to work on #WGSPathbreakers with @katherinestone.bsky.social and @laurelplapp.bsky.social. We can't wait to discover pathbreaking German texts that merit intensified scholarly attention, but have been overlooked by conventional publishers, censored or fallen out of print.)
