I just had my first surprise with AI token usage. I told Amp Code that I want it to launch a subagent swarmp to review ~300 files. It slurped tokens at a rate of about $10/minute. My $10 of free daily credits and $20 emergency buffer were gone pretty quick. I still need 200 more files reviewed. 😡

I run into a weird issue on chatgpt.com using Firefox on Android. I could type my question, but none of the buttons worked. What finally worked around the issue was to tap shield icon > Enhanced Tracking Protection: off. That fixed the buttons. Then I was able to turn this feature back on.

I already posted about difficulties running Claude in a Docker container. Amp Code has a different issue: copy & paste. If you select text with mouse, Amp copies the text to the guest clipboard, and clears the selection. I now run Amp inside WezTerm, where Shift+mouse select works.

I am between stages 5 and 6 on the Yegge's Developer-Agent Evolution Model. Currently I am primarily using Claude Code on the $20/month plan, but I am simultaneously using Amp Code Free in another terminal.

I published a new tool, wayback_downloader, which you point to a Wayback Machine (WB) archived URL (for example your old blog). It will then download it to your local disk, fix all links, and remove WB content. Seems to work, might need some polish. github.com/heikkitoivonen/wayback_downloader

It was time to update my photo. Took a selfie with a phone, then used Google Gemini to fix the background and lighting. After a few tries got an otherwise good picture, but with yellow hair, and then run out of free tokens. Next day I was able to fix the hair color.

Running suspicious processes in containers can improve security. But what if you need to run something suspicious on your host, like an app that you just told an AI agent to create for you? On macOS you can use sandbox-exec.
