Finished my Tifa costume and ended up popping the top arm band showing the air force I can do pull ups, so I'd say it was a successful FanX this year

Really earnestly trying to finish Tifa before FanX in a week and a half

It's made of a black material that looks like leather, but it's not. Don't sew your own, it's too hard. I bought gloves after I spent a day trying to make my own. The one I made on my own is beautiful (in effort) but ill-fitting The glowforge at the Daybreak library. It's a laser cutter A piece of EVA foam laser engraved to look like a small bit of plate armor on Tifa's glove. The foam is white, but I'll paint it to look metal. Displayed on the back of my hand to show the size fits correctly

A pleated faux leather skirt with a snake patterned detail in the front A faux leather pocket with a snake patterned detail. The pocket sewn onto a flap that will eventually be attached to the skirt. The pocket has beading and rivets, which were very difficult to sew in!

The renovated roof at the Main Library downtown is officially open! The bees are back, the weather is fantastic, and it's great to see people enjoying this space again

Caught Utah Opera's recent performance of Madame Butterfly! This rendition was reframed by an all Japanese or Japanese-American creative team. The performers, costumes, set, and everything were so incredible! Got the chance for some photos with the cast ♥️

Made my February pilgrimage to the book store to make sure I'm reading something current! I know Circe has been out for a while, but Butter is new and I'm enjoying it a lot already ♥️

He wasn't quite popping against the olive green, but my husband suggested trying some paint pens and I love the effect!
