You're not wrong, but the reality is ESC holds very little interest to the general public/non-fan bubble outside of May. Football is all year, ESC is a daft one-night TV show. In an industry that's only about clicks, it doesn't stand a chance.

Reminds me of work Christmas party 3 years ago - 30 of us turned up to a pub in Bristol, big festive table laid in the middle of a 100-person wake. Mourners were supposed to have left but everything was late and they were just getting started. The CEO's festive speeches were...subdued.
