Same for movies. One of my godkids asked for "The Princess and the Pan" when she was about four. Took us a while to figure out she meant Tangled, but the name stuck!

I have that box! It's pretty great - I wouldn't necessarily say they're all good films, but none of them were boring! I recently promised I'd lend it to a friend's 11yo kid, who's really into Godzilla, mainly for The X From Outer Space

I don't think it's an entirely successful movie, but I saw it at the cinema when it came out and as the credits rolled a little girl was happily dancing in the aisle and I love it for that alone. Also Hemsworth is so funny as the ditzy blonde secretary

I think the hockey part is also important because it shows that you can get straight guys to be interested in this kind of story too! Which most of us have known (my very straight bf noped out on Severance in part because the Irving/Burt storyline was too heartbreaking for him) but now is undeniable

My friend is a single mom of two girls. Eldest was asked, when she was about 4, if she didn't want a dad, and she said no, because with a dad it wouldn't be a girl house anymore! Told her I knew two girls without a dad but with *two* moms, and you could see her going 🤯 that that was also possible

That said: my main non-work use of Notepad is pasting text into it and copying it again as an easy way to strip formatting, and this nerfs that

I do agree with this but on the other hand I do love the tabs, and that it saves whatever you have without needing to save it. Makes it a good scratch pad.
