My latest project has been fleshing out a Gothic Mystery Adventure for Quest. Figured I'd share my pentagram based writing tool that I've been using. It's pretty simple, but I'll explain as I go...

Die! Monster work station

Die! Monster

Today I go over the LL.9 The Tower Map.

Below I have three rough drawings for the maps.
First a sort of Visiual Overlay of how I imagine the Platformer level will be.

Second I have the map that follows the style I'll be using in the written matierial.

Third I have the overlay...

Here's a rough model of what I imagined this map may look like, a side view of a huge feckin' tower with more than enough room for a mech fight on every "platform" hex.

Ignore the scribbly text, this is mostly for visual comparioson, maybe I'll try to do a silly overlap.

The Tower - the LL.9 Dungeon for Die! Monster

Here's a preview of the map
Dungeon Map, made on wide-ruled notebook paper, walls are drawn in black ink, and a small area in red ink. Several game icons have been digitally over the paper. Rooms are icons over large gray hexagons with blue outline, horizontal corridors have arc icons with smaller orange hexagons, and vertical corridors have pillars with smaller green hexagons.

Trying to draft a 3D platformer dungeon level for a game.

I reckon the first step is learning to draw isometric 3D images.

Here's my first pass at something.
