Indeed. I’m sure the generated code is not human readable and debugging is through some AI goodness. It has all ingredients to end up in some security breach

During my study we where told to have developers develop for old generations of hardware, so that software would be more efficient and people would think about their code before compiling it. I know we only had a few Mb of RAM and small disks. but the concept still holds water.

I guess this is one way to hide that some of the funds are there on paper, but they cannot convert them into liquidity...

drives spin down (low energy), if I want to go overboard I buy another SSD and build a raid-1 volume. I know it's not HA, but a fair trade-off between complexity, costs, energy and availability.

Interesting setup. I've moved away from RAID drives and now simply have 1 SSD drive with all data, and then 2 independent HDD drives locally that get a backup copy, once every day, and one copy to a cloud backup destination. This way I can relatively easily get back after a drive fails.

Many memories for me, my grandparents lived in Haastrecht. Did spend many days over there with them. Also went to Gouda often sitting at the back of my grandfather’s bike

Over het in the Netherlands many people own a cargo bike. Alternatively there’s options to rent one (in the larger cities). Delivery to the shops is usually by smaller trucks/vans that have an exception for certain times and certain routes

A cargobike is meant for this. Easy since they come with electric support nowadays

Welke nieuwe lader heb je besteld? En hoe ga je die aansturen?

In the Netherlands the vehicle tax is based on weight. Not only because of safety concerns but also because heavy vehicles damage the roads more than lighter vehicles

I guess that means addictive drugs.... at least that's what "stuff" used to mean in certain people back in the day.

No. Impossible. Trump said that Zelensky was gambling with WW3. Unless there’s many at the gambling table…

That’s the point. It’s useless to measure placement if you get a fraction of it in your pocket
May 27, 2025 at 8:56 PM
do we know what their expected revenue for Q2 is? or do they assume their revenue equals their placement?

will be interesting to see who wants to buy up the new (to be created) treasuries from the US and at what rates, I think the amount of takers is going down a lot with the current regime.

Ah, it's the RUB to USD conversion that you took into account.
May 21, 2025 at 3:28 PM
how did you work out that number? in ˜5 months now they've arrived at ˜5B deficit... so at this runrate they end up at ˜12B by the end of the year, not?
