Absolutely loved the first one, the mythology was a breath of fresh air from the usual suspects, the characters beautifully realised, and the story kept pulling me along for the ride. The second one is pre-ordered so I shall be reading it soon!

Dream Theater's 'Metropolis Pt. 2: Scenes from a Memory' is a cracker. Concept prog album with an intriguing narrative and some great songs throughout.

This is what happens when you both refuse to read the guides and go in blind. "Oooh, floor 'stuff'." Dead. So dead.

Screen-wise, you'll take a bit of a resolution hit going to a colour e-ink, but unless you compare them side by side with say, a Kindle Paperwhite, you won't notice the difference and the fidelity is good.

Very responsive controls, quick brightness changes, and a joy to use. Very happy with mine!

The physical buttons on the Libra Colour were the clincher for me; really well placed even for my stumpy thumb, with a reassuring, tactile feedback on the button press without needing much force, either.

The ladies and gentlemen of K-Popdom aren't here for your complaints. Less regret, more dancing!
a group of young women are dancing on a stage in a dark room .
Alt: The four, hugely talented young ladies of K-Pop group Blackpink dancing like they just don't care and swinging their hair everywhere.

Rude.

But, sadly - true. I am a walking locus of potential accident energy, just waiting to become kinetic. Sigh.

Nowhere is perfect, but this place has comparatively been a wee slice of sanity and sanctuary. Welcome!
