Do you have any idea of the Magazine shops in the UK you're going to be in? A Physical magazine is the only thing stopping me from subscribing so I'm keen to make sure I buy every issue as soon as it's available.

Nice, NextJS is basically what I use at work for Customer applications, super fun to work with. I can see the NextLinks are precaching the Navbar links, so its super fast! Plus it's practically indistinguishable from the old one. Really nice work.

Hey @isaiahsmith.dev would you mind sharing what the new stack is? From one curious software dev to another 😁

NO. If there's a new category it's to split Sim and Strategy. They're completely different genres.

Do you at least have a shared deductible?

They put it on pause after 2023. Honestly it's kind of hard to not see it as a negative reaction after the Future Class wrote an open letter asking Keighley to acknowledge the genocide in Gaza at the time.

I hope you manage to get to Florence. My favourite part of my own honeymoon by far. I'm not a particularly arty person but Michaelangelo's David left me awestruck for a solid 45 minutes.

Like, arguably the game could have probably come out sooner if the project was managed more tightly, but that would have taken away from the creative process and possibly hurt it artistically.

It's the lack of any urgency that ultimately allowed the game to take as long as it did.

I feel like the perspective here is interesting. Not employing a project management system like Trello or Monday, even on a small team, would be a sign of poor management. But here, without the threat of deadlines or money troubles, mismanagement didn't matter, breaks could easily be taken.

Ah, found it. Euro Theme Park Archive put out this doc a couple of months ago with a lot of first hand interviews. Really cool stuff. www.youtube.com/watch?v=7iRz...

I believe John Knowles and Alban Oliver were two of the Creative Designers at Tussauds who were responsible for a lot of Nemesis' visual designing and theming.

For sure, I did it in March, doing it in the height of Summer must have been hot 🥵

Did you climb the cathedral? I recall that staircase seemingly going on forever.

Dunno how it is there but when I went to a convention in Liverpool a lot of artists sold hand drawn sketches and stuff. I have an awesome full-colour Jolteon on my wall!

Any news on Contraband? Seemed weird it hasn't shown up for a while.

Ofcom do allow businesses to roll their own verification of photo IDs, but like Payment Information, the standards required to protect PII and enable GDPR is high, and this is really intended to be for much larger companies than Nexus, for example the Bird App.

@connormakar.bsky.social Self-declaration is prohibited by Ofcom, so it won't be checkbox. There's a wealth of information on Ofcom of what the expectations are. It's highly likely Nexus will use a Digital Identity Provider like Yoti or Entrust. www.ofcom.org.uk/online-safet...
Age checks for online safety – what you need to know as a user
As of 25 July 2025, all sites and apps that allow pornography will need to have strong age checks in place, to make sure children can’t access that or other harmful content.

Hey folks, as a software engineer, I appreciate the realities of what your production was probably like, but that doesn't excuse the lack of regard for Steam's AI Disclaimer policy. You robbed people of the opportunity to vote with their wallet, which is the only way we can stop AI usage as standard
