I used to use Hierarchy 4 myself but after I found out there is a oss alternative, I jumped ship instantly :)

It shows they're really not confident with the design language and pretty much validates everyone calling it an accessibility nightmare

Now it's more or less the same as the older frosted glass look

It was disruptive but they toned down a lot after the initial beta

I wish that was the case for Japanese stuff for example, Tidal's search doesn't even work half the time when you search in kanji, you have to somehow figure out the English or romaji name of the song and search for it instead. It's a horrible UX.

I think the problem is that Tidal is barely known in the west and it's pretty much non-existent everywhere else, so artists don't even upload their stuff on it.

From my experience tidal has very little non english stuff, last time I tried Tidal and transferred my Spotify library over, half of the songs were missing.

The only exception to this is YouTube music but I don't like the recommendation algorithm at all and the way it combines everything with your YouTube account.

I hear a lot of people praise Roon but that's a lot of money on top of Tidal or Qubuz costs.

And it still doesn't address the library size problem. Nowadays Spotify is like soundcloud, you can find super niche stuff which u can't on other streaming platforms.

Listening age is absolutely cooked 💀 I swear I mostly listen to 2020s

Also my #1 and #5 songs are completely wrong due to workout music outside my control
