So! I was trying to remember the episode of @ifbookspod.bsky.social that referenced authoritarian personalities. I googled it and AI just made up an entire episode with, like, pretty chilling confidence. And, like, I know we all know this is happening but I was still startled at how blatant it was.

Even if I grant a LOT of leeway to the subjective "a few," the claim about protests here is still bullshit. There has been a small but sustained effort every single day, and a huge protest today. True about Congress, though, and the grand jury news is heartening. www.nytimes.com/2025/09/06/u...
In the three weeks since President Trump flooded the streets of Washington with hundreds of troops and federal agents, there have been only a few scattered protests and scarcely a word from Congress, which has quietly gone along with the deployment.
