People are not being loud enough about how AMAZING DQ 2 HD is. Like, this is without question the best in the trilogy. I’m 20 hours in and have been absolutely
blown away by the amount of effort put into this remake! Might as well be a totally new game.

A buddy of mine was in Japan recently and managed to get me one of these out of a Gacha machine. These use actual controller pieces from past Nintendo controllers. It feels just like the buttons should!

I did a 100% replay of DKC Returns HD with the new update this week. It’s WILD how much better this version is than any previous version. Dixie, the higher resolution, near-instant load times, and fixing co-op is so big.

Anddd finished the DLC! Great stuff all the way through. Taking a break from Spiderman before moving onto Miles Morales, but VERY much looking forward to it!
4) Spiderman 2018
Played in 2018, but rushed it cause I borrowed it. Took my time, and even got the Platinum (rare for me). SM has always been my favourite superhero, and the story, characters, and gameplay, do it so much Justice, even if the game gets a little repetitive at times.

It’s actually wild how good the update is for DKC returns is
- They fixed co-op mode
- It looks WAY better
- Dixie fits right in and actually allows for some new skips
- The load times are a fraction of what they used to be

I’ve been playing Bravely Default remastered lately. I’m in chapter 4 right now.
It’s been growing on me, and the battle system is for sure the highlight, but I wouldn’t say this game is anything special.
Great QOL features though!
And yes, I do know about the twist. Had that spoiled years ago.

Been replaying the Classic Megaman games to get hyped for Dual Override. Not going in release order, but just by vibes.
Just replayed Megaman 9 for the first time since my first playthrough in 2018

I am an absolute wreck
They absolutely stuck the landing in my opinion. I have issues with the final season overall, but that final episode… DAMN, 10/10 😭😭😭

Well, here we are. 2026 starts tomorrow.
2025 started off promising for me, but ended up being the hardest year of my life. If it wasn’t for my marriage, it would have been the worst year of my life.
I’m so thankful for my wife standing by me.
Here’s hoping 2026 is better… it has to be.
