Thought I posted this yesterday:
≈’99/2000 and I was loading for two cameras on an underbudgeted behemoth of a Kid Rock music video. High speed all day and the mags we were using had razor sharp gears as they were brand new. Sliced both my thumbs loading as fast as I could go.

This is why I love my Grip homies- they’re having elections so they made booths out of some set walls and tables out of short c-stands and pancakes with baby pins. Always solving problems. 🤘🏾

So grateful to have been asked to help the Grip brethren at Local 80 with their training program. They even asked me to run my mouth about the program and the need for diversity in Hollywood and the importance of California state support for the industry.

Was stoked to teach a class at Local 80 on lighting today. I’m not a fan of speaking in front of crowds but we do what we must to be of service. My boss sent me this photo after wrap and wrote, “This is the leader I see.” Grateful to be out here teaching and lighting and keeping the flame burning.
