I love Martha Root.

My eldest son played his first rugby match at the weekend- there was this utterly brilliant moment where he went from being a kid that just ran around the pitch looking at what was happening to suddenly just picking up the ball, scoring tries and dropping great tackles left, right and centre.

Jesus christ people can we stop giving kids unfettered access to the internet?! I’ve just had to pick up my 8yr son from a sleepover at his friend’s house early because he was upset, as a result of said friends’ parents being ok with their son having unsupervised access to a tablet & Youtube.

My 2 year old, now fully adjusted to our newly named Robot Hoover, just came running out of her bedroom shouting:

“Oh no! Daddy!!!! Hugh Vacman stuck in the cupboard!!!!”

My work here is done.

I know the next generation of kids are already fucked up when every time I go to a restaurant I see parents giving their children (I’ve seen ages from 5-ish through to 10-ish) their phones and letting them scroll endlessly through Tik Tok.

Funny moment at the restaurant tonight for my birthday- was walking around the restaurant with my baby daughter hand in hand as she’s shouting “Happy birthday Daddy!!!” Until suddenly, she stopped, went wide eyed and went “Daddy!!!! Done a big poo!!!!”

Laziness is a human right.

Anyone telling you that you need to maximize your day to more workload efficiency should be mocked and shunned from society.

Naps are a necessity.

Anyone that makes a spreadsheet to analyze daily task scheduling should be dragged behind a car.

Y’know those days where you just cannot be arsed?
