Wordsmythe. Can pronounce Oughtibridge. Ex STH at BDTBL. Now half Aussie.
I think that’s a realistic, objective assessment. Intrigued to see which way things go. If you must have a crisis you might as well get it done straight away.

I love this image. I was raised in the north of England where there are many green woodland valleys with hidden evidence of the region’s industrial past. This photograph could easily have been taken in Derbyshire, or Lancashire, or Yorkshire. The similarities are remarkable!

Listening to the album right now… breakfast in South Australia.

Went to a gig a couple of weeks ago. Mate brought a bag of false teeth. Worryingly good. A bit like a marshmallow (or a Flump, if they’re still a thing), but slightly chewier. Weird with ale though.

It’s definitely giving Monty Python’s women re-enacting Pearl Harbor vibes…

For context, the headline on this news piece from BBC News Yorkshire has been amended to “Championship footballer charged with motoring offence”. They go on to say that an earlier version “incorrectly stated that the charge was drink-driving”.

Just listened Kieran, superb as ever. Will you be covering the recently completed sale of Sheffield United at some point, perhaps with your thoughts on the new owners? Cheers!

This is a precise assessment of where the elite game is at right now. A regulator will only have limited powers to affect (or prevent) further change, and top clubs’ self interest will continue to set the agenda. A flashpoint may be if 14 EPL clubs vote to end relegation. It’s not an impossibility.

Interestingly specific percentage there Danny. I’d have said more like 98.85%…

I think I’m turning into an Australian version of Andrew’s dad. I’ll ask my lads but I suspect I know their answer.

The Chapman family lived down the road from us in the 1970’s. I vividly remember that on hot summer days Steve would sit on their open plan front lawn in a kids’ paddling pool, splashing the water, with what I seem to recall was an umbrella for a sunshade. A true R&R rebel.

Catching a flight Friday morning. Jodhpur to Mumbai. Scheduled duration is (checks info)… yep, 1 hour 40 minutes. No need to bother with Air India’s no doubt excellent onboard entertainment (ahem); you know what I will be listening to. Well done chaps!

Thoroughly enjoyed this latest missive by Roy. I am eagerly anticipating his rendition of the supercalifragilistic Anel Ahmedhodzic song on the next Blades Pod. Should make for superb listening.

Agreed. I’m sure they can do both without too much trouble. We shall see what they decide…

Fair point. I guess the key is to get that first promotion to the PL. United’s 2019 success was the financial catalyst that put them on their way. SWFC could have had a similar journey had Carlos’ team got over the line. If SWFC hang on to Danny, you never know… my Owls supporting kid bro’ hopes so!
