I don't get the appeal of reddit. The moderation is opaque & right-wing. Customer service is crap. The user interface is garbage. And it's full of Russian bots.
It's useful for seeing what the new right-wing talking points are each day, but I don't see the point in actually posting anything there.

Yes, just as a matter of good governance and neighborliness, this is awesome.
But, it's also good branding. Nat'l Dems are completely idiotic when it comes to Democratic Party branding. They should take a lesson from Mr. Mayor.

If a pol doesn't have a plan of any kind (abolish, reform, anything) to stop what's happening in MN, then I have to assume that they support what's happening.

If centrists want to blunt "abolish ICE," then draft the reform bill and try to introduce it. Beat the GOP over the head with it. Progressives will vote for a decent reform bill even w/o abolition.

Newsome has Presidential aspirations, so what's the point in taking unpopular stances that will hurt him in the primaries? They're not even good or moral stances, just ones that benefit a handful or rich people. Unless it's a grift to pocket some riches for himself. That would make some sense.

I've long been skeptical about states' proclivity to have tons and tons of elected officials. But this admin has convinced me that it's basically a sound idea. I do think my state could do with a few less elected officials, but it's not a bad idea for gov't officials to have independent authority.

I think this is the real tipping point. If Congress, big biz, the big banks, etc. roll over as Trump undermines the Federal Reserve, then there really is nothing & nobody who'll stop him from doing whatever he wants.

If we invade Greenland, the next Dem administration will just "un-invade" it. So, the only way this all makes sense is if Miller & Co. are certain there won't be another Dem administration.

None of the polls in the RCP Avg for the '28 GOP Nomination includes MTG. They don't include influencers either (Carlson, Fuentes, Shapiro, Owens, E. Kirk, etc.). It'd be interesting to see if any of them have any sort of traction. Primaries can be a great grift for an enterprising talking head.
