I can run past a Halo 3 mission because I have played that game so many times I already know what happens, but to someone who has never played the game before they won’t do that. The sprint dislikers think every new player is just going to try and skip the game they bought. That’s just boring.

Unless you have to eliminate every enemy before progressing you could always “cheese” the game by skipping enemies and ruining the pacing. Sure running past them makes it easier, but it was always there and you could always balance around that by having enemy AI track the player more.

Most people aren’t that hypercritical or even care. I have friends that aren’t into halo, but they know that I’m into it. They saw the trailer demo and said cool, maybe we’ll play it on release. Silent majority vs Vocal minority.

We still got another year(?) so we might get another trailer down the road so I’m not too bothered. I haven’t been watching the bigger YTbers for a while now because of this sentiment. My GOAT rn is Kammyshep, makes pretty cool lore videos.
