Still love to see that our system is having such a profound effect on people <3

My main concern with this is how stable it is with fluctuating magnetic fields in the space like having an AC motor somewhere in the house or such

I think bsky compression messed with the last 3 seconds, it gets weirdly louder for no reason

(also if your curious why the audio sources turn on and off, its because turning them off forcibly clears the mixer channel. Aggressive audio management go brrr)

I still need to get around to using my own domain for email

Its more of a thing that academic papers with traditional physics math use single letter names, or the concept of what the variable is is extremely abstract and not easily name-able

Id think differently about the regulations if AWS or Cloudflare were like, targetting stuff but all of the issues that have happened are just bad config pushes or unfound internal self dependencies (and i cant blame them testing that stuff is nigh impossible until it happens once)

But then it becomes a thing of, oh, we now need 1 morbillion devices to support a new domain <--> ip framework. Its the javascript issue all over again where instead of oh idk dropping JS for a better language design, typescript was invented instead (????)

Ehhhh i mean, idk its not like cloudflares going around trying to enforce really any form of ideology other than removing piracy (as they are legally required to do). The bigger issue really is the concept of a DNS needs to be rebuilt from the ground up to support multiple sources of info

IPV6 would TECHNICALLY fix this but it also doesnt because SOMEONE still needs to register to everyone else who "facebook.com" actually MEANS address wise. Not to mention the complexities introduced with the load balancing systems where you hit one domain but get directed based on region etc

I saw one post calling the cloudflare outages or AWS outages "corporate greed" or similar. Sorry, no, this isnt corporate malice, this is some furry in a office pushed a malformed regex statement or bad DNS table entry and OOPS IP lookups dont work anymore!
November 19, 2025 at 4:52 AM
Yes it sucks when these services go down. But also fundamentally MANY of the ways services work would just be downright impossible otherwise, or lead to an extremely fragmented space where nothing works with anything else and its all unstable anyway due to that

Reason anything on the internet works as it is right now is due to critical pillars. AWS is peak because its a proper system for CDN servers and distributing networks for load balancing. Cloudflare is DNS which is literally just a chain of IP lookups based on strings and is a tower easily toppled
