My knitters choice for #showmeyourknits is a recap of my #YearInKnits to celebrate the joy this craft gives. I finished 10 projects, knitted approx 6700 meters (21981 ft), designed 2 knitting patterns, released 0 knitting patterns and traveled to 1 knitting event. Learned & loved a lot 🧶 #knitsky

Whites and brights week is almost over at #showmeyourknits. I don't make many whites, but I did make "Wurm" for my mum. I hated knitting the deep stash mohair yarn (not the soft kind, but the one that has free flowing fibers that fill the air and make you cough). Luckily she loved it. #knitsky 🧶

Happy 108th Independence Day Finland! Back in 2017, for the 100th anniversary, there were national knitting charities held to knit a pair of socks for every veteran and another charity to knit for every newborn baby. I made this tiny blue and white pair for a newborn Finn. #knitsky #knitting 🧶

"Simple Knitting" by Erica Knight came out in 2010 and it was the first knitting book I bought. Back then, I remember feeling that this aesthetic, based largely on the photos by Yuki Sugiura, was something completely new and I just loved it. And still do. #knitsky #knitting 🧶

Knitting horror for #ShowMeYourKnits. Got the brief & here it is, my living, self-inflicted, nightmare: the modifications! 🧟♀️ Here lies my cake-pop sweater, ripped back since I cannot accept how the pattern repeat looks on the side of my size. No mistakes, just useless perfectionism. #knitsky 🧶

Hello hat season! For me this week is all about the slouchy beanie, the best hat there is to wear. I knit my all-time favorite 5 years ago with Rowan Lima, which unfortunately is discontinued, since the outcome with this yarn was like a hug to your head. #ShowMeYourKnits 🧶
