yep, more like this (xbar in this case, i guess depends on the generative framework of your choice):

(pi as a head never appears in the wild, but neither do content phrases preceded by pi, so i guess it's endocentric enough for a head)

- *arbitrarily* stacking pi in content word compounds (kule pi len pi jan pi kulupu mi etc)

this needs at least a stack as additional memory. (reason for that is connected to the self-recursion of derivation rules you would need)
but this is discouraged, and i better know why now, which is neat. 🐛
