😥 RIP. The irony for me is that the most probable site of transmission was a packed out union branch GM early March 2020. Of course, had the uni been locked down, we wouldn't have been on pickets, either. Almost turning a corner out of long COVID now, 5.5 years later.🤞

It's a terrible precedent, and even more so that the world is largely silent, as it's always been about Western Sahara, and there is little attention to the profound implications. Even the BBC has covered the UN abandonment as achieving 'Moroccan unity' 😡

Here's me with the then UJSARIO (youth) leader Beisat, 1996. I carried a message of solidarity & support for a free Western Sahara from UK youth. It is a deep pain to imagine explaining to our 20 year-old selves that the world has abandoned international law to fawn to a Trump Riviera pipe dream 6/
