🏚🎨 Art from Rubble — Daily Update

Today I began the first strokes of Art from Rubble in Gaza’s seaport, now filled with rubble and tents. We painted butterflies of hope 🦋 and a safe home in the middle of the sea 🏞 — symbols of every child’s right to safety and life.

🌸 One child draws a friend’s face on a transparent sheet in a fun “Draw Me” game.
Another paints small artworks with focus and joy.
Alongside the art, the children learned simple English words like tree, rain, cat, and play.

Today we blended storytelling, drawing, painting, and small sculptures —all created by my talented students and a new group of wonderful children.

Using wood, cardboard, paper, and pieces of rubble, they turned every material into art filled with emotion and hope.
