Okay, this seems to contradict my earlier post, but if you look closely you’ll see the life jackets setting fire to themselves before flying into the air only to fall back down on to the ship.

This is a great suggestion, but a few of the plot points don't quite line up. But thanks so much for replying, it's possible some of her memories are slightly off, I'll still mention it to her!
