I would rather be skiing than talking about politics.
Whatever you do next I hope we can still talk about BC politics! Wishing you all the best!

I am looking forward to the trip, but unfortunately I won’t have time to explore Hamburg. It is about a nine hour journey already.

I am scheduled to go from Frankfurt to Copenhagen on Sunday. It’s three trains and a bus! Crazy! Hope I make all my connections!

I am at Queenstown airport now! Home tomorrow. Jet lag and course prep will ensue. Love the South Island of New Zealand. Will have to come back and check out the North Island!

If you want to get out of the terminal and get a traditional German meal I would recommend www.frankfurterhof-seppche.de in nearby Schwanheim. Bus 62 gets you over there in 15 minutes. I always go for the Frankfurter schnitzel with green sauce - a local specialty. Very filling!

No, but I was pitched this morning on an AI grading tool! If you can beat ‘em, join ‘em, I guess.

Well done Lisa. This is a great explanatory piece - you wrote it for a foreign audience but I think all Canadians should read it too!

Burnaby-Central of course was another example of a Red waving washing over the NDP candidate, in this case Jagmeet Singh.

The problem with strategic voting is you never know how others are going to vote. Sure, the NDP lost some ridings to the Conservatives because the Liberal vote went up, but in others the Liberals stole NDP ridings -- see New Westminster, Victoria, Esquimalt. Depends on the size of the wave.

It is hard to separate the proposal from the politics. The CPC has been suspicious about the civil service and its supposedly liberal bias going back to the Harper era and the CPC draws much more support from high school and college graduates than university graduates.
