The best pure gameplay a RE game has ever had, and fixed a lot of the areas I remember hating in the last of RE4 OG. Also the parry is great even if the game will almost let you forget it exists outside of one fight.

Overture continues to show there are ways to craft narratives in Soulslike games without defaulting to the FromSoft nature of lore. This also had possibly the best DLC bosses on par with The Old Hunters. Just an incredible complete package from Neowiz and Round 8.

Combining level design of DS1 with a more Bloodborne like combat speed and flow has this feeling the best of the series. I do think it skewed a little on the easy side pre-DLC but I honestly think that’s how these go after you’ve played enough of them.
