I believe Comey is safe through the statute of limitations, and James has no case that any kind of prosecutor would touch.

The entire goal was never to get a conviction. Trump wanted the perp walk he didn’t get, and for Comey to be forced into legal bills that would devastate him. Which he also, through incompetence, also didn’t get.

I respectfully disagree. I think he said and did whatever it took to get back in power with the thought that once he did, screw everyone. He was the boss and what are ya gonna do about it.
