When you say "dramatic", I think you might say "tragic". The arc of the Roberts court has been toward oligarchic rule.

Wanted a disruptor. Stupid people who think governing is like software development. You don't "move fast and break things" when the things you're dealing with are people's lives and the country's economy. You got a destructor with proven incompetence who's surrounded himself with even worse people.

At first, you think "Well, he saw the video and I didn't." Then you think "That's Tom Cotton. He could see the video and make up a partisan lie. Oops, did I say 'could'? Of course he did."

Also, Putin has limited time. He's already testing NATO; Trump is backing out. The Republicans are enabling him. Canada is finally doing things that should have started in 2017, but I still don't think we have the urgency we need.

What everybody seems to be forgetting is there was another boat from which two survivors were rescued by helicopter. They were returned to Colombia & Ecuador.

Survivors of military strike on alleged drug boat will be returned to home countries, Trump says
The administration has publicly announced a half-dozen strikes in recent weeks.

What they don't realize, or maybe they do and it's a giant middle finger, "totally fabricated and fake news" is (from that source) "completely accurate and we don't care". America, they really don't care about you unless you're one of the 800-900 billionaires. Or Putin.

He'd better be or his grave will be a giant urine stain.

It sure is. One shadow docket decision after another.

Oh, Money Bureau Systems, outside the regulated banking system which is absolutely not relevant to the billions Trump is raking in through his crypto scam (outside the regulated banking system).

I have voted consistently Conservative since I was 18 (I'm in my 70s). I have voted Liberal twice in the last decade. I'm unlikely to return to the fold as long as Poilievre is the leader. Your anecdote for today.

Except it looks as though all those European allies are being replaced by Russia, all the Asian allies replaced by China, and Canada is expected to become the US's Belaruss.

Don't forget there was another boat with two survivors, who were rescued and returned home. Consistency is so boring.

Lots of corruption in that article. Don's pentagon contracts too. But that's dipping into the cookie jar corruption. The one that should be sparking front page outrage is selling out Ukraine in what could easily turn into WW3 so that Trump & his cronies, & Putin & his cronies can make billions.

So much for the intel. Knew everything about them, did you, Pete?

Yes. It's important to name who's actually enabling the damage.

Good on Berman for staying on topic in the face of Cotton's diversionary BS.

As a marketer, one of my first questions is where do they get their info. I've seen some focus group level research on that, but I'm not aware of any larger scale studies. There's a book - The Chaos Machine (Max Fisher) - which is very suggestive that social media is "a", if not "the" culprit.

Republicans in the Senate could have prevented this (and many other cabinet atrocities). Prof. Timothy Snyder foresaw the outcome clearly in November 2024 when the names started to surface.

Once again, I'm amazed at the fluency of his lies. He's done almost nothing, presided over the longest shutdown ever, and is in the dictionary as the definition of smarm. Nancy Pelosi, with a similar thin majority, was much more effective.

The legacy of two people: Leonard Leo & Mitch McConnell. They're definitely not working for the American people.
