I want to convey that his power is on par with Golbez but NOT Cloud of Darkness. I'll say in my headcanon that CoD is so powerful that she's the sole occupant of the First Rung. Vrai can be in the Second.

I am working on carrds again and reminding myself that Vrai is, in the simplest terms, an objectively bad person. The darkness turned him repulsive, and for so long only his wants and desires were of any value to him.

And for what it's worth, I think your characters are really neat 💙 I've perused their Carrds dozens of times just to see if you've added anything new to their stories (thouuugh I'll be real and admit I have a soft spot for Smurf. He's a damn cool au ra with a sick design)

I know this is an old thread (is 20 days old?) but I resonate so much with everything you said. I've recently found myself falling into that trap again, and this was a good reminder to step back a little.

tl;dr Vrai is, inherently, a VERY dangerous being. Etienne thinks it's hot. Tearing someone apart is a turn-on. BEING torn-apart is an even bigger-turn on. They are both too intense for the general public.

They are both capable of being gentle with each other but it's actually VRAI who craves that tenderness more. 1000 years of paranoia will do that to a mfer.
