Finally, Issue 3 is a special issue about the rural lawyer shortage. This is the largest symposium issue we've ever published, and it has 13 articles + 2 student pieces about rural lawyers. Check it out, because I can't fairly describe them all!

Vol. 69 / Issue 2 (2024) has four articles - one of legislative process in SD, another on Zoom and the confrontation clause. Property professors will love an article called "R.I.P. RAP" and there's a commentary piece about 12 Angry Men.

Vol. 69 / Issue 1 (2024) has a dedication to our former Dean Geu. The three main articles confront different issues related to administrative law / non-delegation / legislation.

The student pieces are about state ICWA laws & California's prop 12.

Thanks for answering. I find the lateral market fascinating - it’s so hidden/secret but also clearly tons of profs are engaged in it every year.

I’m curious - was the full semester norm only at T-14 schools, or was it ever dominant in a more widespread fashion?

Yes to all that. I feel like the better comment is: “I’m glad you wrote this long thing. I hope you follow up with something shorter/more digestible to get to more readers.” To me, at least, it seems kinder *and* like better advice.

I’m sorry, that must’ve stung. When I was submitting my book, one acquisitions editor suggested I turn my book into a New Yorker article instead because everything I needed to say would fit into a magazine article. I know it was said in good faith, but it still hurt!
