Calcium imaging revealed seven response types within the medulla, that form a place-like code within the gradient, informing larval zebrafish about position and direction

Cold avoidance relies on nonlinear transitions and zebrafish avoid cold temperatures akin to gradient descent: They align to the direction of the thermal gradient and when going away from the preference, terminate these aligned swims with reversals in direction.

We use Markov models with stimulus driven transitions and emissions of swim kinematics to understand how larval zebrafish seek their preference through the avoidance of hot and cold temperatures.

I am excited to present our latest preprint, spearheaded by Kaarthik Balakrishnan, in which we use probabilistic models and functional calcium imaging to understand circuit principles of behavioral thermoregulation

Very nice preprint on the role of protocadherin in shaping development of a functional visual system, constraining direction selectivity to a wildtype template

Post a perfect album from the 90s that isn't Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, or Alice in Chains.
