Although a very different book, the Ray Monk biography of W finally pushed me towards Classics rather than History as it meant I could include philosophy in my degree.

Only a slightly indifferent seat for Parsifal. But it’s still *PARSIFAL AT BAYREUTH* 🥰 Not been for absolutely ages so very much looking forward to it!

It’s clearly memorable, but not the bit of Larkin that I instantly think of. Arundel Tomb is one of my favourite poems of all.

So sad that I never saw her on stage. Her performances in those Alan Bennett monologues are some of the finest pieces of television ever.
