Ah, yeah. Those are pretty rare (never saw one in the flesh sadly).
Blackbox even at the start of their NFS career, knew how to make a car handle well. It's main reason I will praise this title (and all of the other games they worked on in this series).

Throwing NFS HP2 (PS2) on here. It's got some real bad padding problems at points, I still find it a technical marvel for the time. The races in the Ultimate Racer campaign are a blast, and there's a nice sense of weight to the vehicles. One of my fav racing games. 🥰
