Putting Haru in bloomer shorts was a fatal mistake. Kwak Haeum. Kwak Haeum placed her palms on her shoulders, and Jiyu felt warm and real and solid, and then she was pulled away, out of the living room, away from a lovingly chastising mother, out of the cottage and into the green grassy mountains that would come to feel like something close to home.
