The Hysteretic and Gatekeeping Depressions Model (HGDM) is a new approach to modelling the complex prairie basin hydrology, without needing high-res elevation data.

Its ⬆️ efficiency & ⬇️ calibration needs could make hydrological modelling simpler for the Prairies!

A new #publication shows that annual low flows in the Canadian Rocky Mountains showed varying trends. Since the 1970's, annual low flows:
- decreased magnitude and occurred earlier in southwest
- increased magnitude and occurred later in north and east (higher elevation)
