I read this post to Elizabeth who agrees with me on how annoying fire alarms can be. She thinks three fire alarms is a lot for one kitchen.

Re the article and the issue, I am in team break the premise. I do not support Newsom. I will never vote for him except, if I must, to vote against an equal or greater danger. But I intend to be very clear that I see him as a danger and a horror. In the end, Thomas was right. Break the trolley.

But Thomas had no patience for the trolley problem. He always wanted to know what bloody sadist had set this up. He was going to leave all the people where they were and go stop them from tying people onto tracks in the first place.

I really liked the trolley problem when I started to get to know @littlebridgetroll.bsky.social. Probably as a philosophy major I'd met too many utilitarians or people who did feel differently about people getting killed when they're real instead of abstract.

Though the people at elite universities are probably very filtered for the more acceptable and convenient disabilities. People with some kinds of disabilities don't have much of a shot.

My mom just minimizes how many people do work and qualify for SNAP. So I sent her these facts, to be helpful.

That said I'm not pleased either. We should have a minimum wage where those people all have enough to live comfortably so they don't have to qualify for SNAP. Which is not what your mom meant of course.

I'm not sure I know that one, but Little Drummer Boy is also on my list of most hated, which is is why I love to participate in bsky.app/profile/litt.... I was going to be avoiding the song anyway. Much more fun to make a game of it!
